Intimate Lisbon Wedding

In a world where grand weddings often take centre stage, some couples opt for a more intimate and personal experience to celebrate their love. We love planning small intimate weddings and Aoife & Pauric’s was truly special.

They prepared for their day in the wonderful Grand Real Villa Italia in Cascais, a stunning 5 star hotel that resulted from the recovery of the former houses of the last King of Italy – Umberto II. Aoife’s hair and makeup was done by the wonderful B-Lust team. Their attention to detail is incredible and they are a wonderful calming presence on the morning of a wedding.

First Look

They opted for a first look in the beautiful park in Cascais. First looks can be a great way to spend some time together before your ceremony. It’s a beautiful private moment and is a great opportunity to have some images taken before your day begins.

Sintra Ceremony

The decision to plan an elopement over a larger wedding is a choice that resonates with many couples seeking a more personal and private celebration of their commitment. Aoife & Pauric choose Sintra as their ceremony location, they fell in love with the views over Praia da Ursa, which was an idyllic backdrop for their vows. Their ceremony was performed by Sam Gardener a wonderful English speaking celebrant in Cascais.

Photoshoot

After the ceremony we travelled to another Sintra beach for their photoshoot. The light was spectacular. Portugal bathes in sunlight 300 days a year, but January can always be a questionable month, however the weather was absolutely perfect for them.

Lisbon Sunset Boat Cruise

The celebration didn't end with the ceremony. A few days afterwards we planned a beautiful sunset boat cruise for the couple in Lisbon along the Tagus river. Taking in Lisbon's beautiful landmarks from the water at sunset is the perfect way to spend an evening celebrating your recent wedding.
